RCA Selectavision CED, For Your Eyes Only, Played on a Zenith Selectavision Player ...  Roger Moore is back as Secret Agent 007, this time on the trail of shipwreck that holds an Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator (ATAC) for all of the British Naval submarine fleet. Along the way he teams up with the beautiful Melina, played by Carole Bouquet, a maiden out for revenge against a Cuban hitman who killed her father, the head of a British effort to salvage the ATAC. Turns out the hitman was in league with Greek businessman Aris Kristatos (Julian Glover). who's working for the Soviets to attain the Communicator. Together with a drug smuggling rival of Kristatos (played by Topol), Bond and Melina race against time before the keys to all of Britain's missles get in the wrong hands. Richard Maibaum's screenplay has very little to do with the collection of short stories that made up Ian Fleming's For Your Eyes Only, save for the plotline involving Melina's seeking vengeance for the death of her father. The direction is by John Glen, who'd previously done second unit work on other Bond films and went on to direct four more films in the franchise. For Your Eyes Only eschews the gimmickry and campiness of earlier Roger Moore efforts by concentrating instead on intrigue, save for the campy opening that sees Bond dispatch the dastardly Blofeld in a broad comedic pre-credits scene.

Selectavision CED, Battlestar Galactica, Played on a Zenith Selectavision

Selectavision CED, Battlestar Galactica is an American science fiction media franchise created by Glen A. Larson. The franchise began with the original television series in 1978 and was followed by a short-run sequel series (Galactica 1980), a line of book adaptations, original novels, comic books, a board game, and video games.    All Battlestar Galactica productions share the premise that in a distant part of the universe, a human civilization has extended to a group of planets known as the Twelve Colonies, to which they have migrated from their ancestral homeworld of Kobol. The Twelve Colonies have been engaged in a lengthy war with a cybernetic race known as the Cylons, whose goal is the extermination of the human race. The Cylons offer peace to the humans, which proves to be a ruse. With the aid of a human named Baltar, the Cylons carry out a massive attack on the Twelve Colonies and on the Colonial Fleet of starships that protect them. These attacks devastate the Colonial Fleet, lay waste to the Colonies, and virtually destroy their populations. Scattered survivors flee into outer space aboard a ragtag array of available spaceships. Of the entire Colonial battle fleet, only the Battlestar Galactica, a gigantic battleship and spacecraft carrier, appears to have survived the Cylon attack. Under the leadership of Commander Adama, the Galactica and the pilots of "Viper fighters" lead a fugitive fleet of survivors in search of the fabled thirteenth colony known as Earth.

Zenith Selectavision Player, Playing Star Trek the Motion Picture

We watched "Star Trek the Motion Picture" on a RCA Selectavision CED
Disc, and played it on a Zenith Selectavision Player ... RCA
SelectaVision ... The Capacitance Electronic Disc (CED) is an analog
video disc playback system developed by RCA, in which video and audio
could be played back on a TV set using a special needle and high-density
groove system similar to phonograph records. First conceived in 1964,
the CED system was widely seen as a technological success which was able
to increase the density of a long-playing record by two orders of
magnitude. Despite this achievement, the CED system fell victim to poor
planning, conflicts within RCA, and technical difficulties that stalled
production of the system for 17 years until 1981, by which time it was
outmoded by the DiscoVision (LaserDisc) and emerging Betamax and VHS
videocassette formats. Sales for the system were nowhere near projected
estimates, and by 1986, RCA had discontinued the project, losing an
estimated $600 million in the process. RCA had initially intended to
release the SKT425 CED player with their high end Dimensia system in
1984, but cancelled the CED player as part of the system just prior to
the release of the Dimensia system. RCA Selectavision.

Curtis Mathes Stereo a 1959 High Fidelity 6029B ... Curtis Mathes Electronics Company was born in the late 1950s at the birth of the high fidelity age. This is the age of the reproduction of sound, usually music, with minimum variation from the original. The wording "high fidelity" is commonly used in reference to many of the early Curtis Mathes stereos and televisions consoles. These masterpieces had electronic amplifying and recording systems designed to reproduce radio programs and recorded material with the highest quality commensurate with the current engineering techniques of the late 1950s. To do this, the system was to be built and capable of handling all sounds within the range of the human ear, from about 30 to 15,000 vibrations, or cycles, per second. This spectrum of sound, which is approximately the range of tones produced by a symphony orchestra, must also be reproduced with a minimum of distortion, that is, be free from any harshness or deviation from the clarity of the original performance.

The film stars Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid; and features Claude Rains, Conrad Veidt, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, and Dooley Wilson. Set during World War II, it focuses on a man torn between, in the words of one character, "love and virtue". He must choose between his love for a woman and helping her Czech Resistance leader husband escape the Vichy-controlled Moroccan city of Casablanca to continue his fight against the Nazis.

Christmas Blow Mold Decorations have Heartwarming Feeling

https://hubpages.com/holidays/Collecting-Christmas-Blow-Molds-Empire-General-Foam-and-More
Many of us now ancient fans of Christmas blow mold decorations have heartwarming feeling of these symbols of the golden age. When I look at old photo albums of long ago Christmases past, and see the Santa’s and large plastic glowing candles that my Grandfather would pull out of the attic right after Thanksgiving I get a warm glow in my heart. When Grandfather had completed his magical transformation of the front lawn, the place looked like a glowing winter wonder land, complete with Santa and his reindeer, snowmen, huge glowing holly candles, toy soldiers, and of course a lighted glowing manger with Mary, Joseph, Jesus and the wise man all shining brightly in the center.
